I'm Sammy, I'm not medically trained but I decided to create this blog to help others with health issues such as Type 2 Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, Metabolic Syndrome and those struggling with weight loss to learn more about a Ketogenic way of eating to help restore health and vitality. I'd like to share my journey and my experiences eating this way.
Since being diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes then Type 2 Diabetes in 2017, I have been fascinated with the possibility of controlling or reversing my Type 2 Diabetes without the use of any medications. I'm pleased to say I am well on my way to achieving this with good control over my blood sugar with diet alone.
My journey has led me to many fantastic Facebook groups and YouTubers who have helped me learn so much about this way of eating. I now understand my body and the reasons why I was having autoimmune illnesses such as frozen shoulders, TMJ, carpal tunnel and episcleritis caused by inflammation and how my body was trying to tell me for years that it was just unable to cope. The lack of sleep and eating too many carbohydrates made me fatigued with high blood sugars.
I would like to share everything I now know with you to help you to turn your health around.
