My HBA1C Results - 18 July 2018

I went to my Doctor's yesterday for my Diabetic Review after having had my 6 month HBA1C blood test.  I have lost 1 1/2 stone and I'm feeling better then ever with good control over my blood sugars so I wanted my results to reflect this.

I am pleased to reveal that after following a low carb/keto diet for 1 year my blood sugar has dropped from 51 to 46 mmol (6.4 %) and I am now in the Pre-Diabetic range only 5 points away from the normal range!  My Doctor wanted me to lower it to 48 but I exceeded that.

My goal is to get to below 42 mmol (Below 6.0 %) which is in the normal range and I know by eating this way I can get there.  I'm not there yet but well on my way.   I will always have to eat this way as I know if I don't my sugars will rise back to the diabetic range.

There was a slight rise in my cholesterol but the Doctor said that was normal when starting a new diet and was not concerned.  My HDL (good cholesterol) had gone up which was very good, my ratio was good and my triglycerides had also dropped which was good so with the positives of the good cholesterol and the ratio combined this balanced everything out.

So I'm feeling very positive and know that his way of eating can reverse diabetes and help other health issues.
