Flaxseed Pizza Crust

I was researching a simple pizza recipe and found this one on Youtube by starsinaforest  https://youtu.be/zctzJ9GzeIk

Just add any toppings and it works very well satisfying that pizza craving.

I've tweaked it a little and here's my version..

Ingredients

1 Cup Ground  Flaxseed Organic

3 Tbsp Coconut Oil

1/2 Tsp Mixed Herbs

Salt & Pepper

1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder

2 Tsp Baking Powder

2 Large Eggs (Free range/organic if possible)

1/4 cup of water

Toppings

Anything you like but pre-cook them first

Sausage

Bacon

Peppers

Onion

Pepperoni

Ham

Grated cheese (mozzarella or mature cheddar or a mix )

2 Tbsp Tomato Paste or to your taste

Method

Preheat oven to 375f or 190c  and place greaseproof paper on a pizza pan or a regular baking pan.

Melt coconut oil and add to a bowl with your eggs and mix. Add salt and pepper, garlic powder, mixed herbs and the baking powder and mix. Adjust seasonings as you like it.

Add water and mix then slowly add 1 cup of ground flaxseed a little at a time. Using a little hand whisk or wooden spoon is best. Keep adding until you have a nice thick batter to work with. If too thick add more water and if not thick enough add more flaxseed.

Use a spatula to spread onto your greaseproof paper placed on your pizza pan into your desired pizza shape.  Push the sides up a little to give it a nice edge to the pizza to hold your filling.

Bake in the over for 7 minutes and it will rise a little.  Then using another piece of greaseproof paper, flip the pizza over and bake on the other side for another 5 minutes.  Don't over bake it as you will be adding your toppings and baking again.

Flip it back over to the smooth side and add your toppings.  Add the tomato paste first then all other toppings.  Bake until heated through and the cheese has melted and it looks delicious.

(When I made this pizza last week I doubled the ingredients to make 2 large pizzas and I put one in the freezer..  Once frozen just defrost in the fridge or in a microwave and eat cold or reheat in the oven...delicious).
